Introducing Coexist to Church Road - Traders and Residents.
Coexist is relatively new to Church Road and is currently supporting the local community in bringing The Spark Space into community ownership and the commons.
As an organisation, Coexist cares deeply about the communities it is part of and is keen to play an active role in supporting the resurgence of Church Road.
Recognising the challenges facing the street, particularly the difficulties of running an independent business in 2026, Coexist believes that collaboration, mutual support and attracting more visitors to the area can make a real difference.
With this in mind, Coexist has been exploring ways to support the Late Night Shopping initiative for Christmas, helping to increase footfall, visibility and engagement with local businesses.
The organisation has proposed collaborating with the Lamplighters and allocating some of its budget towards creating a festive lantern trail along Church Road. The aim is to bring additional attention, warmth and activity to the street, encouraging more people to visit, explore and support its independent businesses.
Ultimately, Coexist hopes to work alongside local traders, strengthen community connections and contribute to a more vibrant and thriving Church Road for everyone.
